ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                           H.B. 967 House Bill No. 967 AN ACT concerning Cecil County - Treasurer - Salary FOR the purpose of altering the salary of the Treasurer of Cecil County; providing
that this Act does not apply to the salary or compensation of the incumbent
Treasurer of Cecil County; and generally relating to the salary of the Treasurer
of Cecil County. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 25 - County Commissioners
Section 51(u) Annotated Code of Maryland
(2001 Replacement Volume and 2004 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 25 - County Commissioners 51. (u) (1) The salary of the County Treasurer of Cecil County is [$60,000.]: (I)      $60,000 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2006; (II)     $66,250 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2007; (III)    $72,500 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2008; (IV)    $78,750 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2009; (V)     $85,000 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2010 AND EACH SUBSEQUENT
CALENDAR YEAR THEREAFTER. (2) The Treasurer may not receive any other income for performing the
duties of hie THE TREASURER'S office. [(2)] (3) In addition, the County Treasurer shall receive the benefits and
reimbursements for reasonable expenses in the performance of duties as provided in
the Cecil County budget or by law, including, where appropriate: (i) Reimbursements under the Standard State Travel Regulations;
and (ii) Participation in the health care plan that is negotiated for
county employees. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
§ 35 of the Maryland Constitution, this Act may not be construed to extend or apply to
the salary or compensation of the Treasurer of Cecil County in office on the effective - 4315 -
