licensing authority in the licensing state of the conviction OF: (1)      ANY NONRESIDENT HOLDER OF A COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE
FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY STATE LAW OR LOCAL ORDINANCE RELATING TO
OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, OTHER THAN PARKING VIOLATIONS; (2)      ANY NONRESIDENT HOLDER OF A NONCOMMERCIAL DRIVER'S
LICENSE FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY STATE LAW OR LOCAL ORDINANCE RELATING
TO OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, OTHER THAN PARKING VIOLATIONS, COMMITTED
IN A COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE; OR (3)      ANY NONRESIDENT WHO DOES NOT HOLD ANY TYPE OF LICENSE TO
DRIVE, OR WHOSE LICENSE TO DRIVE IS SUSPENDED, REVOKED, OR CANCELED, FOR
THE VIOLATION OF ANY STATE LAW OR LOCAL ORDINANCE RELATING TO
OPERATING A COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE, OTHER THAN PARKING VIOLATIONS. SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows: Article - Transportation 16-814. Within [30] 10 days of the conviction, the Administration shall notify the driver
licensing authority in the licensing state of the conviction of: (1)     Any nonresident holder of a commercial driver's license for the
violation of any State law or local ordinance relating to operating a motor vehicle,
other than parking violations; (2)     Any nonresident holder of a noncommercial driver's license for the
violation of any State law or local ordinance relating to operating a motor vehicle,
other than parking violations, committed in a commercial motor vehicle; or (3)     Any nonresident who does not hold any type of license to drive, or
whose license to drive is suspended, revoked, or canceled, for the violation of any
State law or local ordinance relating to operating a commercial motor vehicle, other
than parking violations. SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2 of this Act
shall take effect September 30, 2005. It shall remain effective for a period of 3 years
and, at the end of September 29, 2008, with no further action required by the General
Assembly, Section 2 of this Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect. SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 3 of this Act
shall take effect on the taking effect of the termination provision specified in Section
4 of this Act. If that termination provision takes effect, Section 2 of this Act shall be
abrogated and of no further force and effect. SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, subject to the
provisions of Sections 4 and 5 of this Act, this Act shall take effect September 30,
