(E) BEFORE TAKING OFFICE, EACH APPOINTEE TO THE BOARD SHALL TAKE
THE OATH REQUIRED BY ARTICLE I, § 9 OF THE MARYLAND CONSTITUTION.
(F) (1) THE TERM OF A MEMBER IS 3 YEARS AND BEGINS ON JULY 1.
(2) THE TERMS OF MEMBERS ARE STAGGERED AS REQUIRED BY THE
TERMS PROVIDED FOR MEMBERS OF THE BOARD ON OCTOBER 1, 2005.
(3) AT THE END OF A TERM, A MEMBER CONTINUES TO SERVE UNTIL A
SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED AND QUALIFIES.
(4) A MEMBER WHO IS APPOINTED AFTER A TERM HAS BEGUN SERVES
ONLY FOR THE REST OF THE TERM AND UNTIL A SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED AND
QUALIFIES.
(5) EACH MEMBER OF THE BOARD IS ELIGIBLE FOR REAPPOINTMENT
BUT MAY NOT SERVE MORE THAN TWO CONSECUTIVE TERMS.
(G) THE GOVERNOR MAY REMOVE A MEMBER FOR INCOMPETENCE,
MISCONDUCT, NEGLECT OF DUTIES, OR OTHER SUFFICIENT CAUSE.
6.5-203.
(A) FROM AMONG ITS MEMBERS, THE BOARD SHALL ELECT A CHAIR AND
OTHER OFFICERS AS NECESSARY.
(B) THE MANNER OF ELECTION AND THE TERM OF AN OFFICER SHALL BE AS
THE BOARD DETERMINES.
6.5-204.
(A) A MAJORITY OF THE VOTING MEMBERS THEN SERVING ON THE BOARD IS
A QUORUM.
(B) (1) THE BOARD SHALL MEET AT LEAST TWICE A YEAR AT A LOCATION
AND IN AN OFFICE PROVIDED BY THE STATE.
(2) THE BOARD MAY HOLD SPECIAL MEETINGS AS PROVIDED IN ITS
REGULATIONS.
(3) THE BOARD SHALL MEET WITH AND CONSULT THE BOARD OF
BOILER RULES AS NECESSARY BUT NOT LESS THAN TWO TIMES EACH YEAR
(C) A MEMBER OF THE BOARD:
(1) MAY NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION; BUT
(2) IS ENTITLED TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES UNDER THE
STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET.
(D) THE BOARD MAY EMPLOY A STAFF IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE
BUDGET.
6.5-205.
(A) THE BOARD SHALL:
