Section 4.5-308(a)(8) and (10)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(2004 Replacement Volume) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article - Business Regulation 4.5-308. (a) The Unit may deny registration to an applicant, reprimand a registrant,
suspend or revoke a registration, or impose a civil penalty on a registrant if the Unit
determines that the applicant or registrant: (8) [repeatedly] violated a LOCAL, BUILDING, DEVELOPMENT, OR
ZONING PERMIT LAW OR REGULATIONS, OR A State, or federal law or regulation,
INCLUDING AN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION LAW OR REGULATION, that relates to
the fitness and qualification or ability of the applicant or registrant to build homes; (10) [repeatedly] engaged in fraud, deception, misrepresentation, or
knowing omissions of material facts related to home building contracts; SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2005. Approved May 26, 2005.

AN ACT concerning Maryland Stationary Engineers Act FOR the purpose of creating the State Board of Stationary Engineers in the
Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation; providing for the composition,
appointment, terms, and expenses of the Board members; specifying the terms
of the initial members of the Board; establishing certain powers and duties of
the Board; requiring certain persons to be licensed by the Board as stationary
engineers before performing certain work; establishing certain grades of
licenses; establishing certain education and experience requirements for
stationary engineers; establishing certain licensing and license renewal
requirements for stationary engineers; providing for certain credits that may be
applied toward licensing requirements; establishing certain examination - 3453 -
