ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                             Ch. 603 (2) Use of the words sergeant, lieutenant, captain, major, lieutenant
colonel, or colonel in the classification title meets the requirements of this paragraph. (d)     (1) A law enforcement officer of the Forest and Park Service shall be
eligible and considered for any promotional opportunities for positions in the Forest
and Park Service, and if selected for a position, shall assume the appropriate law
enforcement officer classification title and rank of the officer who most recently held
that position. (2) Paragraph (1) of this subsection does not apply to applications for
employment or promotional opportunities in the Natural Resources Police. A law
enforcement officer of the Forest and Park Service who wishes to apply for a position
in the Natural Resources Police shall comply with the hiring requirements of the
Natural Resources Police. (e)     Except as provided for herein, nothing in this section shall be construed to
limit the authority of the Secretary or other official of the Department of Natural
Resources to control and manage the Forest and Park Service. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an
emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health
or safety, has been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take
effect from the date it is enacted. Approved May 26, 2005.
CHAPTER 603
(House Bill 1441) AN ACT concerning Baltimore City - Pimlico Community Development Authority FOR the purpose of establishing the Pimlico Community Development Authority;
providing for the membership of the Authority; providing for the designation of
the Chair of the Authority; specifying the terms of the initial members of the
Authority; providing for the removal of members of the Authority; providing for
the Authority to receive certain funds that are designated as payment to
Baltimore City; requiring the Authority to use the funds for certain purposes;
requiring the Authority to consider certain statistics in making its
determinations on the use of the funds; defining certain terms; and generally
relating to the Pimlico Community Development Authority. BY adding to Article - Business Regulation Section 11-1201 through 11-1205, inclusive, to be under the new subtitle
"Subtitle 12. Pimlico Community Development Authority" - 3431 -
