Prosecution of a person under this subtitle does not preclude prosecution and
imposition of penalties for another crime in addition to the penalties imposed under
this subtitle.
10-308.
NOTHING IN THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CONSTRUED TO INFRINGE ON THE
SPEECH OF A RELIGIOUS LEADER OR OTHER INDIVIDUAL DURING PEACEABLE
ACTIVITY INTENDED TO EXPRESS THE LEADER'S OR INDIVIDUAL'S RELIGIOUS
BELIEFS OR CONVICTIONS.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005.

(House Bill 723)
AN ACT concerning
Election Law - Voter Registration
FOR the purpose of altering provisions of the election law to comply with the voter
registration list requirements of the federal Help America Vote Act of 2002;
eliminating certain terms; defining certain terms; establishing a statewide voter
registration list; requiring the State Administrator of Elections to perform
certain tasks; establishing when certain voters are restored to active status;
altering the requirements to challenge certain actions of the local boards of
elections; repealing certain unnecessary provisions; providing for a delayed
effective date; and generally relating to voter registration and compliance with
mandatory provisions of federal law.
