1. THE NEW OWNER MAY SUBMIT A WRITTEN APPLICATION
FOR THE PROPERTY TAX CREDIT UNDER THIS SECTION TO THE DEPARTMENT
WITHIN 60 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF THE TRANSFER; AND
2. IF THE DEED IS RECORDED ON OR AFTER JULY 1 OF THE
NEXT TAXABLE YEAR:
A. THE APPLICANT SHALL SUBMIT WITH THE WRITTEN
APPLICATION A COPY OF THE EXECUTED DEED EVIDENCING THE DATE OF THE
TRANSFER; AND
B. IF THE APPLICANT FAILS TO SUBMIT A COPY OF THE
EXECUTED DEED AS REQUIRED UNDER ITEM A OF THIS ITEM, THE DEPARTMENT
SHALL DENY THE APPLICATION.
(II) THE DATE OF THE TRANSFER UNDER THIS PARAGRAPH IS THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE DEED AS DESCRIBED UNDER § 3-201 OF THE REAL
PROPERTY ARTICLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 2005.

(House Bill 523)
AN ACT concerning
Task Force on the Establishment of a Maryland Women Veterans Memorial
Monument
FOR the purpose of establishing a Task Force on the Establishment of a Maryland
Women Veterans Memorial Monument; providing for the composition and
staffing of the Task Force; specifying the duties of the Task Force; providing
certain reimbursement for travel expenses; requiring the Task Force to report
its findings and recommendations on or before a certain date; providing for the
termination of this Act; and generally relating to a Task Force on the
Establishment of a Maryland Women Veterans Memorial Monument.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(a) There is a Task Force on the Establishment of a Maryland Women
Veterans Memorial Monument.
(b) The Task Force consists of the following 9 members:
(1) one member of the Senate of Maryland who serves on the Maryland
General Assembly's Veteran's Caucus, appointed by the President of the Senate;
