AN ACT concerning
Nontransient Noncommunity Water Systems - Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether -
Testing
FOR the purpose of requiring certain water systems to test the water provided by the
system for the presence of methyl tertiary butyl ether, report the findings to the
Department of the Environment, and provide certain users with a certain notice
under certain circumstances; authorizing the Department to adopt certain
regulations; and generally relating to nontransient noncommunity water
systems.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

9-401.
(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
(i) "Nontransient noncommunity water system" means a public
water system that is not a community system and that regularly serves at least 25 of
the same individuals over 6 months per year.
