ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                             Ch. 508 (iii) foster care home or child care home required to be approved
under Title 5 of this article; or (iv) home of an individual seeking to adopt a child through a local
department of social services or a licensed child placement agency; and OR (V) HOME OF AN INDIVIDUAL SEEKING TO BECOME A GUARDIAN
THROUGH A LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES; AND [(4)] (6) if requested by a local department of social services: (i) a parent or guardian of a child who is committed to the local
department and is or has been placed in an out-of-home placement within the past
year; and (ii) any adult known by the local department to be residing in the
home of the parent or guardian. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005. Approved May 26, 2005.

AN ACT concerning Insurance - Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Compact FOR the purpose of entering the State of Maryland in the Interstate Insurance
Product Regulation Compact; specifying the purposes of the Compact; providing
for the creation of the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission as a
body corporate and politic and an instrumentality of the compacting states;
specifying the membership, powers, and duties of the Commission; providing for
committees, officers, and employees of the Commission; specifying certain rule
making authority of the Commission; requiring the Commission to promulgate
certain rules relating to the Commission's records; providing for the resolution of
certain disputes; specifying a process for the filing and approval of certain
insurance products; establishing certain appeal and hearing rights; authorizing
the Commission to accept certain funding and collect certain fees; requiring the
Commission to keep certain financial accounts and records; providing that the
Commission shall not be subject to certain taxes; providing that any state is
eligible to become a compacting state; specifying when the Compact and the
Commission are effective; providing for the withdrawal of a compacting state
from the Compact and reinstatement of a withdrawing state; requiring the
Commission to take certain actions in the event of certain defaults by a
compacting state; providing for the dissolution of the Compact; specifying the
effect of the Compact on other laws of a compacting state; specifying that the
