Ch. 445                                    2005 LAWS OF MARYLAND Section 1(3) DE02.01              STATE GOVERNMENT CENTER - BALTIMORE (Baltimore City) (B) 2100 Guilford Avenue. Provide funds to prepare detailed design
of the renovation of the State Office Building
#3 at 2100 Guilford
Avenue and to construct and equip an addition to State Office
Building #3 at 2100 Guilford Avenue, provided that no funds
shall be expended for planning, design, or construction on this
project until:
(1)    a committee shall be formed to review and
study alternative locations for the Parole and
Probation Office. The committee shall include
representatives of the City of Baltimore and
the Old Goucher Barclay Midway Coalition;
and
(2)    all alternative sites studied shall be submitted
to the budget committees for review and
comment.............................................................                                5,344,000 FURTHER PROVIDED THAT THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
DIRECTS THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES
(DGS) AND THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND
CORRECTIONAL SERVICES (DPSCS) TO MEET WITH A
COMMITTEE OF THE OLD GOUCHER BARCLAY MIDWAY
COALITION BY JUNE 1, 2005, TO DISCUSS THE
COALITION'S
         CONCERNS         REGARDING         THE RENOVATION OF THE STATE OFFICE BUILDING #3 AT
2100 GUILFORD AVENUE. DGS SHALL MAINTAIN THE
MINUTES OF THE MEETING AND PROVIDE A COPY OF
THE MINUTES TO THE BUDGET COMMITTEES.
FURTHER PROVIDED THAT DGS SHALL PREPARE AND
SUBMIT A REPORT BY AUGUST 1, 2005, TO THE BUDGET
COMMITTEES THAT OUTLINES WHAT STEPS DGS AND
DPSCS WILL TAKE TO ADDRESS THE COMMUNITY
CONCERNS WITH THE PROJECT.
QP00            DIVISION OF PRE-TRIAL DETENTION AND SERVICES (Baltimore City) (A) Baltimore City Detention Center - Property Acquisition AND
DEMOLITION. Provide funds to acquire AND DEMOLISH
adjacent properties to expand the Baltimore City Detention
Center, provided that no funds may be expended on this project
until: (1) the appraisal has been reviewed by the
