the HEAT Center, $100.000 may be
expended for a grant to the Waldorf
Higher Education Center, and $100,000
may be expended for a grant to the Laurel
center., provided that $1,000,000 of
this appropriation for a grant for
Aging Studies at the University of
Maryland Baltimore County may not
be expended for any program or
purpose except that $350,000 may be
expended for a grant to the Eastern
Shore Higher Education Center,
$350,000 may be expended for a grant
to the Southern Maryland Higher
Education Center. $100.000 may be
expended for a grant to the HEAT
Center. $100.000 may be expended for
a grant to the Waldorf Higher
Education Center, and $100,000 may
be expended for a grant to the Laurel
Center.
Further provided that $6,000,000 in general
funds designated to enhance the State's
four historically black institutions may
not be expended until the Maryland
Higher Education Commission submits, a
report to the budget committees outlining
how the funds will be spent. The budget
committees shall have 45 days to review
and comment on the report.
Further provided that funds designated for
the State's four historically black
institutions for enhancement purposes
outlined in the Office for Civil Rights
agreement may be expended for debt
service for capital projects funded by
Academic Revenue Bonds and one-time
operating expenditures only |
