M00K02.01 Alcohol and Drug Abuse
Administration
Provided that, notwithstanding any other
provision of this bill, the Alcohol and Drug
Abuse Administration may create up to 19
full-time equivalent regular positions in
lieu of contracting with the University of
Maryland Bureau of Governmental
Research for the provision of professional
support. In filling these positions, it is the
intent of the General Assembly that
priority be given to persons presently
employed under the administration's
current contract with the University of
Maryland Bureau of Governmental
Research.
General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$250,000 of this appropriation intended
for the Integration of Child Welfare and
Substance Abuse Treatment shall not be
expended for that purpose and may only
be used for an independent results-based
evaluation of the program.
Further provided that $575,000 of this
appropriation may only be expended for
clinically managed, short-term residential
treatment programs that provide work
and other intensive therapy for a period of
between 21 and 35 days.............................. 78,132,883
