(33) (32) ONE REPRESENTATIVE FROM A MANAGED CARE
ORGANIZATION;
(34) (33) TWO ONE LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE PROVIDERS
PROVIDER WHO SERVE SERVES PEOPLE WITH CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS; AND
(35) (34) TWO LICENSED ADDICTION TREATMENT PROVIDERS WHO
SERVE PEOPLE WITH CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS.
(C) THE TASK FORCE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS:
(1) ONE MEMBER OF THE SENATE OF MARYLAND, APPOINTED BY THE
PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE; AND
(2) ONE MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, APPOINTED BY THE
SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE.
[(c)] (D) The members of the Task Force shall elect the chairman and
vice-chairman from among the Task Force's members.
(E) (1) IF A MEMBER OF THE TASK FORCE IS ABSENT FROM TWO OR MORE
MEETINGS OF THE TASK FORCE, THE GOVERNOR MAY REMOVE THAT MEMBER AND
APPOINT ANOTHER MEMBER TO THAT SEAT.
(2) A MEMBER MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED ABSENT FROM A MEETING OF
THE TASK FORCE IF:
(I) THE CHAIRMAN OF THE TASK FORCE HAS EXCUSED THE
MEMBER'S ABSENCE IN ADVANCE OF THE MEETING; OR
(II) ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL DESIGNATED BY THE MEMBER
REPRESENTS THE MEMBER AT THE MEETING.
[(d)] (E) (F) The Mental Hygiene Administration and the Alcohol and Drug
Abuse Administration shall provide staff for the Task Force.
[(e)] (F) (G) A member of the Task Force:
(1) may not receive compensation; but
(2) is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State
Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.
[(f)] (G) (H) The Task Force shall:
(1) identify and recommend creative ways to provide and deliver
comprehensive, integrated, cost-effective services to the population with co-occurring
mental [illness] HEALTH and substance [abuse] USE disorders;
(2) identify and recommend various methods of funding services through
private and public sources;
