(c) The amount credited to the special fund created under subsection (a) of
this section shall be allocated by the Maryland Racing Commission as follows:
(1) the money allocated for purses for the running of the Pimlico Special
shall be proportional to the amount in the special fund resulting from the takeout
from mile thoroughbred racetrack handles in Maryland; and
(2) the money allocated for purses at Rosecroft Raceway shall be
proportional to the amount in the special fund resulting from the takeout from
Rosecroft Raceway handles in Maryland.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That it is the intent of the
General Assembly that the funds provided under § 11-404.1 of the Business
Regulation Article are intended to supplement, rather than supplant, current State
general fund support for the Rural Maryland Council and Maryland Agricultural
Education and Rural Development Assistance Fund.
SECTION 2. 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an
emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health
or safety, has been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take
effect from the date it is enacted.

(House Bill 1030)
AN ACT concerning
State Government - Energy Efficiency Standards Technical Corrections
FOR the purpose of altering certain minimum efficiency standards for certain
products; repealing certain minimum efficiency standards for certain products;
authorizing the Maryland Energy Administration to limit certain delays for
certain categories of products; requiring the Administration to adopt certain
procedures by rule after notice and comment; authorizing certain
manufacturers who make certifications in other states based on standards that
are equal to or more stringent than the standards in Maryland to use the same
certification in Maryland that was used in other states under certain
circumstances; providing for the application of certain labeling requirements;
requiring certain labels on certain products; setting forth the effective date for
the implementation of certain efficiency standards; providing for a delayed
effective date for certain labeling requirements; defining certain terms; altering
certain terms; and generally relating to energy efficiency standards.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
