(2) The terms of the members appointed by the Governor serving on July
1, [1988] 2006 expire as follows:
(i) [4] 2 members in [1989] 2007;
(ii) [4] 2 members in [1990] 2008; and
(iii) [4] 2 members in [1991] 2009.
(3) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is
appointed and qualifies.
(4) A member who is appointed after a term begins serves only for the
rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.
(5) An appointed member may not serve more than 2 consecutive terms.
(e) The Governor may remove a member for incompetence or misconduct.
(f) The [Advisory Committee] COORDINATING COUNCIL may elect from
among its [appointed] members a chairman, vice-chairman, secretary and other
officers it deems appropriate.
(g) The [Advisory Committee] COORDINATING COUNCIL shall determine the
time and place of its meetings.
(h) The members of the [Committee] COORDINATING COUNCIL may not
receive a salary, but shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in
attending meetings and other [Committee] COUNCIL business, as provided under the
Standard State Travel Regulations.
Article - Natural Resources
4-1103.
(a) The Department shall take measures which in its judgment seem best
calculated to increase the productivity or utility of any part of the natural oyster bars
of the State, INCLUDING:
(1) IDENTIFYING AND USING EFFECTIVE METHODS OF CLEANING
DISEASED OYSTER BARS;
(2) PROVIDING CLEAN SHELL FOR THE BARS; AND
(3) USING HATCHERY PRODUCED OYSTERS TO REPLANT SITES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows:

(a) (1) There is a Tidal Fisheries Advisory Commission in the Department.
