SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Agriculture
2-102.
(c) The Secretary, with the approval of the Governor, shall appoint a deputy
secretary who has the duties provided by law or delegated by the Secretary. The
deputy secretary serves at the pleasure of the Secretary and shall receive the salary
provided in the State budget.
2-106.
(a) The following positions and units are included within the Department:
(1) The Tobacco Authority of the State of Maryland;
(2) The Maryland Agricultural Fair Board;
(3) The Chief of Weights and Measures;
(4) The State Chemist;
(5) The State Veterinarian;
