Ch. 338                                    2005 LAWS OF MARYLAND (J) FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2006 AND EACH FISCAL YEAR
THEREAFTER,
THE GOVERNOR SHALL INCLUDE IN THE ANNUAL BUDGET BILL A
SPECIAL FUND APPROPRIATION FROM THE FUND TO THE UNIVERSITY OF
MARYLAND, COLLEGE PARK FOR THE SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER
NETWORK
GENERAL FUND APPROPRIATION OF AT LEAST $750,000 TO THE FUND. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That it is the intent of the
General Assembly that the Governor provide an additional appropriation of $250,000
for fiscal year 2006 to the University of Maryland, College Park for the Small Business
Development Center Network.
SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 2005 July 1, 2006 June 1, 2005. Approved May 10, 2005.
CHAPTER 338
(Senate Bill 827)
AN ACT concerning Criminal Law - Evidence of Motor Vehicle Theft - Owner's Affidavit FOR the purpose of authorizing in a certain criminal case or juvenile proceeding
involving theft of a motor vehicle the introduction of an affidavit by the lawful
owner of the motor vehicle as substantive evidence that the motor vehicle was
taken from and operated, used, or possessed without the lawful owner's
authorization under certain circumstances; requiring the affidavit to be given
under oath and attached to the certificate of title of the motor vehicle; requiring
the State to provide certain notice to the defendant before a proceeding in which
the State intends to introduce certain evidence; requiring the State to require
the presence of the affiant under certain circumstances; and generally relating
to evidence of motor vehicle theft and affidavits by lawful owners of motor
vehicles. BY adding to Article - Criminal Law Section 7-105.1 Annotated Code of Maryland (2002 Volume and 2004 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
