Ch. 335                                    2005 LAWS OF MARYLAND (4)     a representative from the courts with expertise in child abuse and
neglect issues; and (5)     individuals who have participated in the prosecution of a child abuse
or neglect case as a witness, especially including pediatricians. (b) The workgroup: (1)     shall investigate study and make recommendations on the use of,
reimbursement for, availability of, and implementation of videoconferencing as a
resource in a child abuse or neglect investigation investigations in the State; and (2)     on or before December 1, 2005, shall report its findings and
recommendations in
(e) The workgroup shall submit a report on or before December 1, 2005, in
accordance with § 2-1246 of the State Government Article, to the General Assembly
regarding recommendations on videoconferencing as a resource in a child abuse or
neglect investigation
. SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005. Approved May 10, 2005.
CHAPTER 335
(Senate Bill 789)
AN ACT concerning Frederick County - Fire and Rescue Services - Collective Bargaining FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of County Commissioners of Frederick
County to allow voluntary collective bargaining concerning wages and benefits
between the Board and a certain organization that represents employees of the
Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services; authorizing certain
collective bargaining to include a memorandum of understanding concerning
wages and benefits; specifying that a memorandum of understanding shall bind
the Board and a certain organization for a certain period of time; authorizing the
Board to designate individuals to negotiate on its behalf; providing that this Act
does not allow certain employees to strike and does not require collective
bargaining or any method, means, or scope of bargaining between certain
entities; providing that this Act does not authorize binding interest arbitration;
defining certain terms; and generally relating to Frederick County and
collective bargaining. BY adding to The Public Local Laws of Frederick County
Section 2-8-7
