3. 2. PROVIDE THAT A PERMIT IS EFFECTIVE FOR A
PERIOD OF 1 CALENDAR DAY; AND
4. 3. ALLOW AN INDIVIDUAL OR A QUALIFIED
ORGANIZATION TO OBTAIN ONLY ONE PERMIT PER CALENDAR YEAR.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005.

(Senate Bill 473)
AN ACT concerning
Student Health Promotion Act of 2005
FOR the purpose of requiring certain county boards of education to include certain
information in certain health instruction; requiring certain county boards to
establish a certain nutrition policy by a certain date; providing that a certain
nutrition policy does not apply to certain foods and beverages; requiring the
nutrition policy to be implemented by a certain school year; requiring certain
county boards to provide the State Department of Education with a copy of a
certain nutrition policy and to report certain modifications to the Department;
requiring certain vending machines to have and use certain timing devices in
accordance with a certain policy certain policies; and generally relating to health
and nutrition policies in public schools.
