(2) IF THE DISTRICT COURT FINDS THAT A PERSON HAS COMMITTED A
CODE VIOLATION UNDER § 10-117 OF THIS SUBTITLE, THE COURT SHALL REQUIRE
THE PERSON TO PAY:
(I) A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $1,000; OR
(II) IF THE VIOLATION IS A SUBSEQUENT VIOLATION, A FINE NOT
EXCEEDING $1,500.
[(2)] (3) The Chief Judge of the District Court may not establish a
schedule for the prepayment of fines.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005.

(House Bill 1407)
AN ACT concerning
Garrett County - Wine Festival License - Sunday Sales
FOR the purpose of authorizing a wine festival license issued for use in certain
election districts in Garrett County to allow Sunday sales to begin at a certain
time; exempting certain wine festival sales from a certain meal requirement;
and generally relating to wine festival licenses in Garrett County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
8-308.1.
(a) In this section, "Board" means the Garrett County Board of License
Commissioners.
(b) This section applies only in Garrett County.
(c) The Board may issue annually one wine festival license.
