AUTHORIZE ELECTRONIC DELIVERY OF ANY OF THE NOTICES DESCRIBED IN § 7003(B)
OF THE FEDERAL ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES IN GLOBAL AND NATIONAL COMMERCE
ACT. 1-812. 1-813. THIS SUBTITLE SHALL BE APPLIED AND CONSTRUED TO EFFECTUATE ITS
GENERAL PURPOSE TO MAKE UNIFORM THE LAW WITH RESPECT TO THE SUBJECT
OF THIS SUBTITLE AMONG STATES ENACTING IT. 1-813. 1-814. THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE MARYLAND UNIFORM ENVIRONMENTAL
COVENANTS ACT. 1-814. 1-815. IF ANY PROVISION OF THIS SUBTITLE OR ITS APPLICATION TO ANY PERSON OR
CIRCUMSTANCE IS HELD INVALID, THE INVALIDITY DOES NOT AFFECT OTHER
PROVISIONS OR APPLICATIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE WHICH CAN BE GIVEN EFFECT
WITHOUT THE INVALID PROVISION OR APPLICATION, AND TO THIS END THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE ARE SEVERABLE. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any provision of this
Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid for any
reason in a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity does not affect other
provisions or any other application of this Act which can be given effect without the
invalid provision or application, and for this purpose the provisions of this Act are
declared severable. SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall be applied
and construed to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law with respect
to the subject of this Act among states enacting it. SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2005. Approved April 26, 2005.

(House Bill 688) AN ACT concerning Nursing Homes - Family Council - Administrative Functions FOR the purpose of authorizing nursing homes to assist a family council in the
administrative functions of operating a family council under certain
circumstances; providing that the nursing home may assist the family council
for longer than a certain period of time under certain circumstances; and
