ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                             Ch. 206 Article - Health Occupations 8-203. (a) From among its members, the Board [annually in July] shall elect a
president and a secretary ONCE EVERY TWO YEARS IN JULY. 8-205. (c) (1) The Board is the only unit of the Department that is responsible for
adopting rules and regulations to determine: (i) Individuals to whom any act of the practice of registered
nursing and licensed practical nursing may be delegated; and (ii) The acts that may be delegated safely. (2) [This subsection may not be construed as limiting the ability of any
individual who has successfully completed either the geriatric nursing assistant
training program or the certified medicine aid training program under regulations in
effect on July 1, 1986 to perform acts consistent with those regulations. (3)] The Department shall retain its authority to require training for
nonlicensed patient care personnel under § 19-308.1 of the Health - General Article. 8-315. (a)     The Board may issue a temporary license to any applicant who: (1)     Is licensed by any other state; and (2)     Submits to the Board: (i) An application on the form required by the Board; and
(ii) Any other document required by the Board; and (3)     Pays the fee required by the Board. (b)     (1) A temporary license issued to an individual who is authorized to
practice registered nursing in another state authorizes the holder to practice
registered nursing in this State while the temporary license is effective. (2) A temporary license issued to an individual who is authorized to
practice licensed practical nursing in another state authorizes the holder to practice
licensed practical nursing in this State while the temporary license is effective. (C) (1) THE BOARD MAY ISSUE A TEMPORARY PRACTICE LETTER TO A
CERTIFIED NURSE PRACTITIONER OR CERTIFIED NURSE-MIDWIFE WHO: (1) (I) HAS BEEN ISSUED A TEMPORARY LICENSE UNDER THIS
SUBSECTION AND HAS SUBMITTED A WRITTEN AGREEMENT TO THE BOARD FOR
FORMAL APPROVAL;
