AN ACT concerning
Baltimore City - Sheriff - Salary and Expense Allowance
FOR the purpose of altering the expense allowance amount received by the Sheriff of
Baltimore City; altering the salary of the Sheriff of Baltimore City; providing
that this Act does not apply to the salary or compensation of the incumbent
Sheriff of Baltimore City; and generally relating to the salary and expense
allowance received by the Sheriff of Baltimore City.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
2-309.
(d) (1) (i) In Baltimore City, the Sheriff shall receive an expense
allowance of [$1,000 ] $750 TWO TIMES per year and a salary of:
1. [$70,000] $79,300 in calendar year [2002] 2007
2. [$70,000] $84,600 in calendar year [2003] 2008:
3. [$72,000] $89,900 in calendar year [2004] 2009
4. [$72,000] $95,200 in calendar year [2005] 2010; and
