Chapter 302 of the Acts of 2004 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
[July 1, 2005] JULY 1, 2006. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That: (a)     The Maryland Supplemental Retirement Agency shall: (1)     study the issue of eligibility to participate in the. Special Pay Plan,
given that Chapter 302 of 2004 requires that participation in the Plan is mandatory; (2)     study the issue of oversight and administration of the Special Pay
Plan, including whether the Board of Trustees for the Maryland Teachers' and State
Employees' Supplemental Retirement Plans should be provided with the primary
oversight and administrative authority; (3)     study the issue of implementing the Special Pay Plan for three
separate payroll systems within the State, including the Central Payroll Bureau, the
Maryland Department of Transportation payroll system, and the University System
of Maryland payroll system; and (4)     request and receive documentation from the Internal Revenue
Service that states whether special pay plans are valid. (b)     The Maryland Supplemental Retirement Agency shall report its findings
to the Joint Committee on Pensions on or before December 31, 2005. SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2005. Approved April 26, 2005.

(Senate Bill 594) AN ACT concerning Caroline County -Alcoholic Beverages - Open Containers FOR the purpose of making it a misdemeanor for a person in Caroline County to
possess an open container of an alcoholic beverage under certain circumstances;
establishing a penalty; and generally relating to open containers of alcoholic
beverages in Caroline County. BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
