AN ACT concerning
Calvert County Board of Education - Elected Members - Health Insurance
Coverage
FOR the purpose of providing that certain elected members of the Calvert County
Board of Education are entitled to certain health insurance provided to certain
employees of the County Board; and generally related to health insurance
coverage for elected members of the Calvert County Board of Education.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Education
3-303.
(a) At its first meeting at the beginning of each calendar year, the County
Board shall elect a president and a vice president from among its members.
(b) (1) The president of the County Board is entitled to receive $5,000
annually as compensation and the other members are entitled to receive $4,000 each
annually as compensation.
(2) AN ELECTED MEMBER IS ENTITLED TO HEALTH INSURANCE
BENEFITS REGULARLY PROVIDED TO EMPLOYEES OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
UNDER THE SAME TERMS AND CONDITIONS EXTENDED TO OTHER EMPLOYEES OF
THE BOARD OF EDUCATION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2006.
