Ch. 203 2006 LAWS OF MARYLAND
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That:
(a) the Aquaculture Coordinating Council established under § 10-1303 of the
Agriculture Article shall investigate and provide recommendations to the Department
of Natural Resources by December 31, 2006, on:
(1) the establishment of areas for shellfish seed production, sale, and use
in accordance with the United States Food and Drug Administration's National
Shellfish Sanitation Program guidelines; and
(2) the feasibility and impacts of exempting aquaculture operations from
harvesting restrictions for wild stocks of fish that are established by law or
regulation, including:
(i) season restrictions;
(ii) catch limits;
(iii) minimum size limits;
(iv) quotas; and
(v) method of harvest restrictions; and
(b) the Department of Natural Resources, in consultation with the
Department of Agriculture, shall adopt regulations consistent with Title 4, Subtitle
11A of the Natural Resources Article that reflect the recommendations provided to the
Department of Natural Resources under subsection (a) of this section.
SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October June 1, 2006.

CHAPTER 203
(House Bill 1200)
AN ACT concerning
High Schools - Automated External Defibrillators Program - Requirements
FOR the purpose of requiring each county board of education to develop and
implement a certain automated external defibrillator program that meets
certain requirements in high schools; requiring that a certain automated
external defibrillator program include certain provisions relating to certain
school-sponsored athletic events; requiring the State Department of Education,
in consultation with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the
Maryland State School Health Council, and the Maryland Institute for
Emergency Medical Services Systems, to adopt certain regulations; and
