SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 8-211(h) of Article 2B-Alcoholic Beverages of the
Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 8-211(i).
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland read
as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
8-211.
(a) The provisions of this section apply only in Frederick County.
(g) (1) The restrictions in this section and in § 7-101(g) of this article do not
apply to licenses issued pursuant to this subsection.
(2) The following entities may obtain a license for the sale of beer, wine
and liquor:
(i) Middletown Volunteer Fire Company;
(ii) Wolfsville Volunteer Fire Company;
(iii) Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company; [and]
(iv) Myersville Volunteer Fire Company; AND
(V) ST. KATHARINE DREXEL ROMAN CATHOLIC CONGREGATION,
INC.
(3) All net proceeds from the sale of alcoholic beverages for the entities
listed in paragraph (2)(I) THROUGH (IV) of this subsection shall be used solely to
purchase fire and rescue equipment, for operating expenses, and for constructing and
maintaining the buildings which house the emergency equipment.
(H) (1) NOTWITHSTANDING THE RESTRICTIONS IN THIS SECTION AND IN §
7-101(G) OF THIS ARTICLE, THE BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS MAY ISSUE A
ONE-DAY SPECIAL BEER, WINE, AND LIQUOR LICENSE TO ST. KATHARINE DREXEL
ROMAN CATHOLIC CONGREGATION, INC.
