AN ACT concerning
Frederick County - Firefighting, Rescue, and Ambulance Services
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of County Commissioners of Frederick
County to use certain funds for firefighting, rescue, or ambulance services;
authorizing the Board to appropriate the funds from the proceeds of a certain
special district tax and other sources; and generally relating to firefighting,
rescue, and ambulance services in Frederick County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 11 - Frederick County
2-8-6.
(a) (1) In this section the following words have the meanings indicated.
(2) "Fire and rescue services" means firefighting, rescue, or ambulance
services.
(e) (3) The board of county commissioners may appropriate from the
proceeds of the special district tax, and from other sources, funds to be used within
the district for[:
(i) Compensating fire and rescue personnel;
(ii) Training personnel involved in fire and rescue services,
including volunteers;
(iii) Purchasing:
1. Fire and rescue equipment; or
2. Real property to be used for fire and rescue services;
