7-503.
(a) (2) Real property that meets the requirements of subsection (b) of this
section is not subject to property tax if the owner of the real property is:
(i) 1. C. a nonprofit housing corporation as defined in
[Article 44A, § 1-103(p) of the Code] § 12-104(B) OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT ARTICLE; and
(ii) 1. a limited partnership whose managing general partner is:
A. a housing authority as defined in [Article 44A , § 1-103(c)
of the Code] § 12-101 OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ARTICLE; or
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2006.

(Senate Bill 101)
AN ACT concerning
Election Law - Petition Verification
FOR the purpose of providing that the purpose of verification of signatures on certain
petitions is to ensure that the name of the individual who signed the petition is
listed as a registered voter; making this Act an emergency measure; and
generally relating to the verification of petitions.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

6-207.
(a) (1) Upon the filing of a petition, and unless it has been declared deficient
under § 6-206 of this subtitle, the staff of the election authority shall proceed to verify
the signatures and count the validated signatures contained in the petition.
