CHARTER RESOLUTION AMENDMENT 2005-1
SUBJECT: "Merit system authorized; right of police employees to organize and
bargain collectively" and "Prohibitions and Penalties" Resolution of the Mayor and
City Council of Ocean City, Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article
XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23 A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, 1957 edition as amended: Section C-1003 "Merit system
authorized; right of police employees to organize and bargain collectively" and Section
C-1005 "Prohibitions and penalties" by repealing and reenacting with amendment
certain sections of the Charter of the Town of Ocean City, Maryland. This amendment
shall have the effect of allowing certain members of the Emergency Medical Services
Division of the Ocean City Department of Emergency Services and the Ocean City
Fire Marshal's Department to organize and bargain collectively.
[Sections C-1003 and C-1005 of the Charter of the Town of Ocean City,
Worcester County, as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of
Municipal Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 2005 Supplement), repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.

RESOLUTION NO. 2005-1
A RESOLUTION of the Town Commissioners of the Town of Pittsville proposing
the annexation to the Town of Pittsville of a certain area of land situate contiguous to
and binding upon the Southerly corporate limits of the Town of Pittsville, to be known
as the "Maryland Route 346 - Chatham Manor Annexation" being an area located on
the Southerly side of but not binding upon Maryland Route 346.
(6.5520 acres of land, more or less)
