State House
Annapolis, MD 21401
Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed House Bill 1579 - Maryland Consolidated Capital Bond Loan of 2004 -
Maryland Independent College and University Association - Columbia Union College.
This bill amends the Maryland Consolidated Capital Bond Loan of 2004 to authorize
the grant to be used for the design and construction of a new music education building
at Columbia Union College; and makes the bill an emergency measure.
Senate Bill 934, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House
Bill 1579.
Very truly yours,
Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.
Governor
