Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed House Bill 1115 - State Aid for Police Protection - Supplemental Grants.
This bill requires a supplemental grant for police protection to be paid from the State
to each subdivision that borders the District of Columbia.
Senate Bill 642, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House
Bill 1115.
Very truly yours,
Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.
Governor
House Bill No. 1115

supplemental grants from the State for police protection.
