The Honorable Michael E. Busch
Speaker of the House
State House
Annapolis, MD 21401
Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed House Bill 705 - Primary and Secondary Education - School Facilities - Aging
Schools Program - Grant Calculation.
This bill alters a requirement that the State distribute grants to county boards of
education under the Aging Schools Program and provides for the calculation of the
amount of grants to be distributed to county boards under the Program in specified
fiscal years.
Senate Bill 432, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House
Bill 705.
Very truly yours,
Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.
Governor
House Bill No. 705

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
