(4) A GRADE 4 STATIONARY ENGINEER LICENSE IF THE INDIVIDUAL
LAWFULLY PROVIDED STATIONARY ENGINEERING SERVICES IN THE STATE IN
ACCORDANCE WITH § 6.5-302(B) OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR 6 OR MORE CONSECUTIVE
MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE DATE OF APPLICATION FOR THE WAIVER
(B) THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS SECTION ONLY IF THE
APPLICANT SUBMITS TO THE BOARD ON OR BEFORE MAY 31, 2007:
(1) A WAIVER APPLICATION ON THE FORM THAT THE BOARD PROVIDES;
(2) A WAIVER APPLICATION FEE SET BY THE BOARD;
(3) PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY FOR THE APPLICABLE WAIVER; AND
(4) AN APPLICATION FOR THE APPLICABLE LICENSE IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2 of this Act shall
take effect June 1, 2007.
SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, except as provided in
Section 4 of this Act, this Act shall take effect June 1, 2006. Section 3 of this Act shall
remain effective for a period of 1 year and, at the end of May 31, 2007, with no further
action required by the General Assembly, Section 3 of this Act shall be abrogated and
of no further force and effect.

AN ACT concerning
Department of Human Resources - Child Abuse and Neglect - Differential
Response System Study
FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of Human Resources to conduct a
Differential Response System Study on the implementation of a differential
response system for allegations of child abuse and neglect in the State;
providing for the purpose of the Study; requiring the Department to submit a
report on the findings and statutory recommendations of the Study on or before
a certain date; providing for the termination of this Act; and generally relating
to the Differential Response System Study.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(a) The Department of Human Resources, in consultation with the University
of Maryland School of Social Work, child advocacy organizations, and service
