AN ACT concerning
Vehicle Laws - Baltimore County Alleys - Maximum Speed Limit
FOR the purpose of establishing a certain maximum speed limit in an alley in
Baltimore County; and generally relating to maximum speeds in alleys.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Transportation
21-101.
(b) "Alley" means a street that:
(1) Is intended to provide access to the rear or side of a lot or building in
an urban district; and
(2) Is not intended for through vehicular traffic.
21-801.1.
(a) Unless there is a special danger that requires a lower speed to comply with
§ 21-801 of this subtitle, the limits specified in this section or otherwise established
under this subtitle are maximum lawful speeds. A person may not drive a vehicle on
a highway at a speed that exceeds these limits.
