the lesser of (i) $200,000 or (ii) the amount of the matching fund
provided, to the Board of Directors of [Belair-Edison
Neighborhoods, Inc.] ST. AMBROSE HOUSING AID CENTER, INC.
for the acquisition, planning, design, repair, renovation, and
reconstruction of residential properties in the Belair and Edison
areas of Baltimore City. Notwithstanding Section 1(5) of this
Act, the matching fund may consist of funds expended prior to
the effective date of this Act (Baltimore City).............................. 200,000
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 2006.

(Senate Bill 971)
AN ACT concerning
State Ethics Law - Architectural and Engineering Services - Applicability of
Restrictions on Participation in Procurement
FOR the purpose of providing that certain limitations relating to providing
architectural and engineering services for the design of certain construction
projects do not apply to certain individuals who are associated with certain
certified minority business enterprises persons who do not have certain design
procurements on behalf of the State, are eligible to be part of certain teams
bidding on certain construction under the State procurement law, subject to
certain conditions; providing for the termination of this Act; and generally
relating to the application of certain restrictions on the participation in certain
procurements by certain certified minority business enterprises persons.
