(f)      A member of the Task Force may not receive compensation for serving on
the Task Force but is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard
State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget. (g)     The Task Force shall: (1)     Evaluate and make recommendations regarding methods of
improving minority participation in the environmental community, including: (i) Establishing environmental centers at historically black
colleges and universities, such as Morgan State University, Bowie State University,
Coppin State University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and Sojourner
Douglass College, for disseminating information about careers in the environmental
arena, implementing environmental education and restoration projects for faculty
research, providing opportunities for students to participate in the environmental
arena, such as student internships with governmental or nonprofit organizations, and
encouraging student participation in community development; (ii) Improving communication to minority communities and
encouraging community participation on water quality and environmental health
issues and other environmental justice issues affecting their communities; and (iii) Improving the flow of information and services into minority
communities regarding land conservation in general and protecting natural
resources,, open space, and land via conservation easements; and (2)     Submit a final report of its findings and recommendations to the
Governor and, in accordance with § 2-1246 of the State Government Article, the
General Assembly on or before July 1, 2007. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2006. It shall remain effective for a period of 1 year and 1 month and, at the
end of July 31, 2007, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this
Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect. Enacted May 26, 2006.

(Senate Bill 354) AN ACT concerning Uniform Commercial Code - Secured Transactions - Continuation Statement - Transition Rules FOR the purpose of confirming the effectiveness of certain continuation statements
filed under Title 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code within a certain period to
