(1) A FUEL, COMPRISED OF MONO-ALKYL ESTERS OF LONG CHAIN
FATTY ACIDS DERIVED FROM VEGETABLE OILS OR ANIMAL FATS, THAT IS
DESIGNATED B100 AND MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF ASTM D 6751 AND ITS
SUCCESSORS; OR
(2) A BLEND OF BIODIESEL FUEL MEETING ASTM D 6751 WITH
PETROLEUM-BASED DIESEL FUEL. DESIGNATED AS BXX, WHERE XX REPRESENTS
THE VOLUME PERCENTAGE OF BIODIESEL FUEL IN THE BLEND.
(B) IN FISCAL YEAR 2008 AND IN EACH SUBSEQUENT FISCAL YEAR, THE STATE
SHALL ENSURE THAT AT LEAST 50% OF THE VEHICLES USING DIESEL FUEL IN THE
STATE VEHICLE FLEET USE A BLEND OF FUEL THAT IS AT LEAST 5% BIODIESEL FUEL.
(C) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY STATE VEHICLE FOR WHICH
MECHANICAL FAILURE DUE TO USE OF BIODIESEL FUEL WILL VOID THE
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY FOR THAT VEHICLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2006.

CHAPTER 426
(Senate Bill 146)
AN ACT concerning
Education - Task Force on School Safety
FOR the purpose of establishing a Task Force on School Safety; providing for the
membership and staffing of the Task Force; authorizing the Task Force to
establish certain subcommittees; providing that the members of the Task Force
may not receive compensation but are entitled to a certain reimbursement;
requiring the Task Force to evaluate and make recommendations regarding
certain issues on or before a certain date; providing for the termination of this
Act; and generally relating to school safety in the public schools of the State.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(a) There is a Task Force on School Safety.
(b) The Task Force consists of the following members:
(1) two members one member of the Senate of Maryland, appointed by
the President of the Senate;
(2) two members one member of the House of Delegates, appointed by
the Speaker of the House;
