Ch. 6                                       2006 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(II) IN EACH COUNTY OTHER THAN A COUNTY SPECIFIED IN
SUBPARAGRAPH (I) OF THIS PARAGRAPH, THE LOCAL BOARD SHALL ESTABLISH AT
LEAST ONE EARLY VOTING POLLING PLACE FOR EACH PRIMARY OR GENERAL
ELECTION.
(4) (I) (3) POLLING PLACES ESTABLISHED BY A LOCAL BOARD
UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF § 10-101 OF THIS TITLE. (II) IF A LOCAL BOARD CANNOT ESTABLISH A POLLING PLACE IN
THE GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION REQUESTED UNDER THIS SUBSECTION, THE
REQUESTING ENTITY MAY MAKE ANOTHER REQUEST.
(D)     (1) A VOTER MAY VOTE AT ANY EARLY VOTING POLLING LOCATION
PLACE IN THE VOTER'S COUNTY OF RESIDENCE. (2) THE LOCAL BOARD SHALL ENSURE THAT EVERY BALLOT STYLE
USED IN THE COUNTY FOR THE ELECTION IS AVAILABLE AT THE EARLY VOTING
POLLING LOCATIONS PLACES. (E)     ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 1, 2006, THE STATE BOARD SHALL ADOPT
REGULATIONS AND GUIDELINES FOR THE CONDUCT OF EARLY VOTING. (F)     ANY PROVISION OF THIS ARTICLE THAT APPLIES TO ELECTION DAY ALSO
SHALL APPLY TO EARLY VOTING. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Governor shall
allocate the resources required to implement the requirements of this Act, including
any gift received by the State for the purposes of this Act under § 2-201 of the State
Finance and Procurement Article, or, except for federal funds received by the State to
implement the requirements of the Help America Vote Act 2002, any federal or other
funds or grant received by the State in accordance with federal and State law for the
purposes of this Act by fiscal year 2007 and each fiscal year thereafter. SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October June 1, 2005. Enacted January 17, 2006.

voter to qualify for voting by absentee ballot; altering the methods for receiving
and submitting an application for an absentee ballot; and generally relating to
voting by absentee ballot.
