Ch. 382
(2)     An individual employed by the United States government to practice
dietetics, while practicing within the scope of that employment[.]; AND (3)     An individual who aids in the practice of dietetics, if the individual
works under the [direct or indirect] supervision of a licensed dietitian-nutritionist or
licensed physician. [(4) A registered dietitian who has recently become a resident of this
State, or is a resident of this State but is not licensed, and who: (i) Has applied for licensure; and (ii) Has not had a license application denied in this State. (c) Subject to regulations adopted by the Board, an individual may practice
dietetics without a license if the individual: (1)     Has met the academic and experience requirements to be a licensed
dietitian-nutritionist; (2)     Has applied for or taken the licensing examination; and (3)     Is awaiting notification of the examination results.]
5-302. (a)     To qualify for a license, an applicant shall be an individual who meets the
requirements of this section. (b)     The applicant must be of good moral character. (c)      The applicant must be at least 18 years old. (d)     The applicant for licensure as a dietitian-nutritionist shall: (1) (i) 1. Have satisfactorily completed academic requirements for
the field of dietetics as approved by the Board; AND [(ii)] 2. Have received a baccalaureate degree [or a higher degree]
from a college or university [approved by the Board] ACCREDITED BY AN
EDUCATIONAL ACCREDITING ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZED BY THE COUNCIL ON
HIGHER EDUCATION AND ACCREDITATION; [and] OR (II) HAVE RECEIVED A MASTER'S OR DOCTORAL DEGREE FROM A
COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY ACCREDITED BY AN EDUCATIONAL ACCREDITING
ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZED BY THE COUNCIL ON HIGHER EDUCATION AND
ACCREDITATION IN NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES (WITH EMPHASIS IN HUMAN
NUTRITION), FOOD AND NUTRITION, DIETETICS, HUMAN NUTRITION, COMMUNITY
NUTRITION, PUBLIC HEALTH NUTRITION, OR EQUIVALENT TRAINING APPROVED BY
THE BOARD;
