(3) RECOMMENDATIONS TO ASSIST HEALTH CARE INSTITUTIONS IN THE
STATE THAT HAVE CLINICS FOR ADULTS WHO ARE DIAGNOSED WITH SICKLE CELL
ANEMIA;
(4) THE AMOUNT OF GENERAL FUND STATE SUPPORT REQUIRED FOR
FISCAL YEARS 2008, 2009, AND 2010 TO ADDRESS THE RECOMMENDATIONS MADE
UNDER ITEMS (1), (2), AND (3) OF THIS SUBSECTION; AND
(5) ANY AVAILABLE FUNDING SOURCES TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF
HEALTH CARE DELIVERED TO ADULTS DIAGNOSED WITH SICKLE CELL ANEMIA.
(B) THE GOVERNOR SHALL INCLUDE IN THE BUDGET BILL FOR FISCAL YEARS
2008, 2009, AND 2010, GENERAL FUND STATE SUPPORT FOR THE ADULT SICKLE CELL
ANEMIA POPULATION IN AN AMOUNT THAT IS AT LEAST EQUAL TO THE AMOUNT
RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE OF GENETICS AND CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL
HEALTH CARE NEEDS IN THE REPORT REQUIRED UNDER SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS
SECTION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 2006. It shall remain effective for a period of 4 years 1 year and, at the end of
May 31, 2010 2007. with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act
shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect.
