FOR the purpose of renaming the Volunteer Company Assistance Fund tuition
assistance program for firemen and rescue squad members as the Charles W.
Riley Volunteer Company Assistance Fund Fire and Emergency Medical
Services Tuition Reimbursement Program: authorizing the publishers of the
Annotated Code of Maryland to correct certain statutory references under
certain circumstances; and generally relating to the renaming of the Volunteer
Company Assistance Fund tuition assistance program for firemen and rescue
squad members.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article—Public Safety
8-201.
(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
(b) "Association" means the Maryland State Firemen's Association.
(c) "Department" means the Department of Budget and Management.
(d) "Fund" means the CHARLES W. RILEY Volunteer Company Assistance
Fund.
