AN ACT concerning
Local Government - Tri-County Council for Western Maryland -
Membership
FOR the purpose of altering the membership of the Tri-County Council for Western
Maryland; altering the method by which certain members are selected for
membership to the Tri-County Council for Western Maryland; providing for
certain limitations on the terms of certain members; and generally relating to
the Tri-County Council for Western Maryland.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 20A - Tri-County Council for Western Maryland
2-101.
(a) The Council shall adopt bylaws governing the procedures and policies of
the membership.
(b) The Council shall consist of [27] THE FOLLOWING 23 members[, 23 of
which shall be voting members and 4 of which shall be nonvoting members.
(c) The voting membership of the Council shall consist of the following 23
members]:
(1) From Allegany, Garrett, and Washington counties:
(i) 9 representatives of the county governments, 3 from each
county, appointed by their respective county commissioners; and
(ii) 3 municipal elected officials, 1 from each county, appointed by
their respective [municipal governments] BOARDS OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS;
