ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                             Ch. 228 (2) Compensation provided under this subsection may not exceed an
employee's State base salary or direct wages. (d)     An employee eligible to receive military administrative leave under this
section who is activated for military duty on or after July 1, 2003, shall elect to use
either military administrative leave or paid leave as provided in § 9-1104(3) of this
subtitle. (e)     The Department shall keep a record of the use of military administrative
leave under this section. Chapter 389 of the Acts of 2003, as amended by Chapter 122 of the Acts of
2004 and Chapter 104 of the Acts of 2005 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, that this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2003. [It shall remain effective for a period of 3 years and, at the end of June
30, 2006, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall be
abrogated and of no further force and effect.] SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 2006. Approved May 2, 2006.
CHAPTER 228
(Senate Bill 51) AN ACT concerning Department of the Environment - Rubble Landfills - Location FOR the purpose of prohibiting the Secretary of the Environment from issuing a
certain permit to construct or operate a rubble landfill within a certain distance
of a certain lake in Queen Anne's County and certain tributaries in Prince
George's County; making this Act an emergency measure; providing for the
termination of this Act;
and generally relating to permits for rubble landfills. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
