DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES
It is the intent of the General Assembly that
the Secretary of Human Resources shall
adopt new regulations to publicize and
implement the provisions of Section 5-641
of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings
Article (Maryland Safe Haven Act)
throughout, the State, concerning persons
who leave an unharmed newborn with a
responsible adult under circumstances
providing immunity from liability under
the Maryland Safe Haven Act.
