J00D00.01 Port Operations
It is the intent of the General Assembly that
the Maryland Department of
Transportation (MDOT) shall not sell the
World Trade. Center (WTC) until, the
budget committees have 45 days to review
and comment on the reports requested in
the fiscal 2006 budget. These reports shall
include a cost-benefit analysis of the sale
of the WTC and a preliminary plan for
relocating the Maryland Port
Administration staff housed at the WTC.
Additionally, as also stated in the fiscal
2006 budget. MDOT shall not enter into a
contract to sell the building until it has
provided the budget committees with two
independent appraisals of the WTC.
Furthermore. MDOT shall make every
effort to maximize the occupancy rate of
