EMERGENCY BILL

Corporations and Associations - Special
Voting Requirements
Favorable report adopted.
Read the second time and ordered prepared for Third Reading.
Two-thirds of the Senators elected having voted in the
affirmative by yeas and nays, complying with the Constitution,
put the Bill on Third Reading and Final Passage:
AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE BILL NO. 1
Offered from the floor by Senator Denis:
Amendment No. 1 -
On page 1 at the top of the page, strike "EMERGENCY BILL".
Amendment No. 2 -
On page 1 in lines 7 and 8, strike "making this Act an
emergency measure" and substitute "providing for a special
effective date".
Amendment No. 3 -
On page 12, strike in their entirety lines 12 through 18,
inclusive, and substitute:
"SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect February 1, 1984.".
The preceding 3 amendments were read and rejected by a roll call
vote as follows:
