AN ACT concerning
Blind and Deaf Individuals - Rights - Penalties for Violations
FOR the purpose of providing that any person who violates certain
provisions relating to the rights of blind individuals is
civilly liable to the injured party for certain damages;
altering a certain penalty for certain violators persons
convicted of a certain misdemeanor; violating certain rights
of certain handicapped individuals requiring that the court
shall order certain persons to pay attorney's fees under
certain circumstances; and providing that certain acts by
certain blind, visually handicapped, or deaf individuals
shall not be held to constitute contributory negligence.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 30 - Deaf, Mute or Blind
Section 33(d)(3) and (g)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1976 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement)

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 475.
The bill continues the State Board of Sanitarian
Registration in accordance with the provisions of the Program
Evaluation Act beyond July 1, 1984 to July 1, 1985.
