(House Bill 875)
AN ACT concerning
Washington County - Alcoholic Beverages - License Board
FOR the purpose of altering the salary of a member of the License
Board of Washington County; providing that this Act does not
apply to incumbents; and generally relating to the salary of
a member of the License Board of Washington County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 155(u)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
155.
(u) In Washington County each member of the board shall be
entitled to receive an annual salary of [$1,800] $3,600 $2,800
payable monthly from the license fees derived from the issuance
of license fees authorized by this article. No member or
employee of the board shall have any pecuniary or other interest
in any phase of the manufacture, sale or distribution of any
alcoholic beverages.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act may not
be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the License
Board Commissioner of Washington County in office on the
effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary of the License Board Commissioner of
Washington County shall take effect at the beginning of the next
following term of office:

SECTION 3 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.
