HARRY HUGHES, Governor
operation of fire-fighting equipment and firemen, and until the
arrival of sufficient police officers direct and control traffic
in person or by any subordinate and facilitate the movement of
traffic. The authority granted under the provisions of this
paragraph may not be exercised to inhibit or obstruct members of
rescue squads from performing their duties in the vicinity of a
fire or other emergency. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. Approved May 10, 1983.
CHAPTER 241 (House Bill 770) AN ACT concerning Montgomery County - Bingo and Raffles
MC 212-83 FOR the purpose of permitting certain qualified nonprofit
organizations to conduct bingo and raffles in Montgomery
County; providing the criteria under which certain nonprofit
organizations may conduct the raffles; providing for the
keeping of certain books and records; providing that a
permit is required to conduct a raffle in Montgomery County;
establishing the criteria for individuals to operate the
raffles; providing for certain prizes, rules and
regulations, and penalties; restructuring a certain section
of the Code relevant to bingo in Montgomery County to
include raffles; making certain exceptions for the operation
of bingo games conducted at the annual Montgomery County
Fair; and generally relating to bingo and raffles in
Montgomery County. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments Section 255B Annotated Code of Maryland (1982 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments
